Ryan Shutler, drummer for the thrash outfit Lazarus A.D., has reportedly passed away.

Vocalist Terry Jones of the band Pagan Altar has passed away at the age of 69 after his battle with cancer on the morning of May 15th 2015.     

On the Morning of April 6th 2015 three Metalheads lost their lives in a horrible van crash in Notheast Georgia. Nicholas R. Crisostomo(KHAOTIKA), 25, of Round Hill, Virginia; Ian A. McKinney (WORMREICH), 30, of Madison, Tennessee; and Paul. J. Truesdell (WORMREICH), 29, of Mableton, Georgia, were killed at the scene of the crash, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Chrys Hyde (Born January 3, 1965), who was the first  Holy Soldier drummer in 1985, also the first drummer from Deliverance from 1985-1990, who also participated in 1991 in Vengeance Rising, has died at age 50. Chris was dealing with a long-term illness.

On Thursday February 19th 2015 Keyboardist Mats Olausson (54) was found dead in his motel room in Rayong, Thailand.

Rene Jansen bass playe rof the band Cadaver passed away on December 3rd of 2014 at the age of 45 after losing his battle with Leukemia. 

Black Tusk Bassist Jonathan Athon passed away at the age of 32 folllowing a motorcycle accident on November 7th of 2014.

November 1, 2014 - Platinum selling musician Wayne Richard Wells, better known as WAYNE STATIC, passed away at the age of 48.

WAYNE STATIC was the enigmatic former frontman and namesake of Static-X, who later forged a successful solo career. Wayne was scheduled to co-headline tours with Powerman 5000 and Drowning Pool over the next several months.

I have been struggling with whether or not to comment about our friend and bandmate Bernie's condition as it is first and foremost a matter for him and his family. However, the news has gotten out, and we have had many expressions of concern and support, so I wanted to acknowledge them. And it's therefore time at this point to talk a bit about our friend, while keeping details at the appropriate level. 

As I understand it, Bernie felt nauseous on Saturday, which as it turns out is a warning sign for an aneurism, but who would have known? He slept that evening and through the next day when some friends found him and were unable to wake him. They noticed blood, called an ambulance, and had him brought to a hospital, where surgery was performed. Surgery went well but he remains in very serious condition at this time (that is not a hospital's designation -- that is meant literally: it is very serious). Out of respect for Bernie and his family, this is as much information as I am comfortable sharing.

Bernie is young and in otherwise good health, and those are favorable factors for recovery. I do not have details on the severity of Bernie's condition upon arrival, which is the other factor. Evidently an aneurism is not something that needs to be attended to within half an hour of happening; surgery is typically performed within 24 hours, so it is certainly possible that everything will be fine.

As any fan of Redemption, Agent Steel, Engine or Bernie's other projects knows, he is immensely talented. Those of us who know him can also attest that he is incredibly kind, gentle, humble, funny, giving and a dozen other adjectives. He has two beautiful children and a long-time girlfriend who need him. He has a lot of music left in him. He's also a fighter.

I would ask that those of you who consider yourselves religious, keep Bernie and his family in your prayers, and for those of you who are not religious, send positive thoughts. My hope is that I will be able to update you very soon and let you know that Bernie is recovering and doing well.

Profesional Bass player Tim Rawbiz Willams passed away sometime in August 2014. The cause of death has not been made public. Tim was a part of the latest release 13 by the hall of fame act Suicidal Tendencies.

Jonny Morellin, drummer of the band Draugr was killed in a motorcycle accident. The 30 year old Italian passed away in his hometown of Pescara on the night of June 11th.

Stork guitarist Shane Gibson died yesterday (Tuesday, April 15) as a result of complications from a Blood Cloting  disorder. He was 35 years old. Shane was also a former tourning member of the band Korn. 
 

 Paulo Schroeber died on March 24, 2014, after an unsuccessful surgery to reset an artificial pacemaker-like device he carried in his chest.Paulo was forced to depart from the band Almah in 2011 because of a heart condition.

2/10/14  Today, my brother Wayne Gardner, died from a self inflicted use of a firearm. Our family is devastated by his loss and in a state of shock. X Iron Maiden, Trust, Stratus, Gogmagog, Elixir, Desperado,Praying Mantis and Samson drummer Clive Burr (March 8 1957 – March 12 2013) passed away last night in his sleep.
Burr was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1994. As of now I believe the cause of death was complications from his illness. 



Iron Maiden lead singer Bruce Dickinson considered Burr to be "...the best drummer the band ever had. That's not taking anything away from [present drummer] Nicko. Technically, Nicko's probably a far more competent drummer than Clive. It's just that Clive had this incredible feel, and you can't learn that, and I regret that he wasn't given more time to try and sort himself out." Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith also praised Burr's drumming ability. "Clive was a great drummer, an Ian Paice-type drummer, steady and solid with a nice feel to everything.

Looks like the 2011 release Opus Mortis VII will be the last for Swedish Death Metal band Vomitory. The band put out a statement today calling it a day. They will finish off the year with as many live show as possible. They will finish the day with eight album's during their 24 year career
